New Melty Steakzilla and Peppercorn Steak Burger from Checkers and Rally’s

New at Checkers and Rally’s is the Melty Steakzilla.  Now available for a limited time only at participating locations.

No craving is a match for something this colossal. Two 100% beef patties, shaved Philly steak, crispy onions, Swiss cheese all topped with a creamy peppercorn-seasoned cheese sauce and served on a toasted Kaiser bun. This burger is over-the-top and flavor packed.

Also new to the menu is the Peppercorn Steak Burger which joins the Philly Cheesesteak Burger which was reviewed here on GrubGrade last year.

Vegetarians, cover your eyes. The Peppercorn Steak Burger has arrived. We’re serving up 100% beef and shredded steak. We’ve topped it off with Swiss cheese, creamy peppercorn sauce and crispy onion tanglers served on a toasted Kaiser bun.

Seriously, Rally’s, if you’re reading this, stop using onion rings in your burgers. It’s over. You can do better than this. Also, tone it down with the salt a bit.

    • Jimmay says:

Seriously! Enough with the onion rings in burgers!

      • stilletkniv says:

People obviously love fried onions in their burgers. It’s a flavorful texture contrast. I don’t understand why it makes you people upset when people like things you don’t.

    • Stevo says:

I don’t understand what’s wrong with onion rings in burgers. I wish it was an option everywhere.

I knew it. That the first comment or comments would be about salt. I only like their fries, because everything else it like Dead Sea salty! I get a salty taste in my mouth when I hear the name Checkers or Rally’s . The food looks great and even if you smoke or have bad taste buds, when you eat here….you can taste the salt. Imagine eating here and waking up in the middle of the night to drink water cause you are parched from the inside. They should use their food to thaw the ice and salty roads in wintertime.

  3. Stevo says:

If by “packed with flavor” they mean the flavor of salt, then yes, completely true.

  4. Jonathan Wayne says:

Seriously, WTF is up with all the salt in their food, it is ridiculous? Their prices are good and the amount of food isn’t bad but Jesus Christ the salt just kills you, literally.
