I had a $7 grilled cheese from Panera once. What a waste of money.

That hot chocolate is ridiculous !

For 850 calories I’m going with something else. And I love grilled cheese

  4. jrdunn says:

and if it is going to be 850 calories the reduced fat spread is just offensive

Sounds good all around, but overpriced if you ask me. Panera is good with the quality and portions, but I have a tough time spending over $7 for a ham sandwich- or anything similar. The holiday bread looks to be worth trying though even though I’d probably need a second mortgage!

  6. BigBelly says:

Fontina cheese sucks on a grilled cheese
bring on the chocolate chip marshmallows though!!!

That truffle soup can’t possibly have real truffles in it. It’s probably Truffle Oil with is made from synthetic chemical (2,4-Dithiapentane). Makes things taste like used cooking rags. Yuck!!

Alex G – Panera provides ingredients on their site. The soup lists “truffle flavor [medium chain triglycerides, natural flavors], thyme, truffle [tuber aestivum truffles, water, salt]”. Personally I love it.

I just had the fontina grilled cheese and it was really good. I had the 1/2 sandwich and soup…dont think i could eat an entire one but it was yummy.

  9. JoeyF says:

I can get a loaf of bread and enough cheese to make a dozen grilled cheese sandwiches for what they charge for one so i’ll pass. The hot chocolate looks good though. The red velvet cookie is pretty decent too, had it last year.

  10. Jen says:

I tried the hot chocolate today, Starbucks hot chocolate is way better, the marshmallows fell to the bottom and by the time I got to them they were a soggy kinda salty mess. The Fontina Grilled Cheese was actually decent, I liked the mixture of the cream cheese with it, the mushroom soup wasn’t great, it wasn’t terrible but I will not be getting it again.
