Color and Flavor Changing Unicorn Frappuccino Coming to Starbucks

Starbucks is taking on the unicorn drink trend for a very limited time with the introduction of the Unicorn Frappuccino blended beverage.

Here’s how it’s described by Starbucks:

The Unicorn Frappuccino blended crème is made with a sweet dusting of pink powder, blended into a crème Frappuccino with mango syrup and layered with a pleasantly sour blue drizzle. It is finished with vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of sweet pink and sour blue powder topping.

Like its mythical namesake, the Unicorn Frappuccino blended crème comes with a bit of magic, starting as a purple beverage with swirls of blue and a first taste that is sweet and fruity. But give it a stir and its color changes to pink, and the flavor evolves to tangy and tart. The more swirl, the more the beverage’s color and flavors transform.

The Unicorn Frappuccino will be available Wednesday, April 19th through Sunday, April 23rd, while supplies last in participating Starbucks stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Now THIS is something I need to try and will probably hate myself for.

Well I tried it, and I don’t hate myself for trying it. I hate myself for liking it despite knowing if it was not called a “Unicorn Frappuccino” and being pretty colors I wouldn’t have liked it at all. I don’t care for mango and the sour part was way too sweet, but it’s just so pretty I can’t say anything bad about it…

if you like sourpatch kids, this will taste like that.

I don’t think it’s really…”drinkable” unless you like the idea of drinking ultrasweetened sour candy.
