*Yawn*, I’ll stick with my spicy chicken sandwich at Wendy’s. This is new because, what, they put the bun on upside-down? Come out with something new for a change, I’m tired of eating the same old junk they lure me into eating everyday by calling it “new”.

It wasn’t coated in hot sauce like the pic. Mine had a tiny squirt in the middle, and there wasn’t enough on my sandwich to even make a judgment of the sauce’s taste. Otherwise, the patty was very salty but decent enough, and the sourdough bread, mayonnaise, and pickles were all good. I will give it one more shot, but this time I will go inside to order, pull the this pic up on my phone, and tell them to “Make it like this.”

Salty, indeed. Wondering: How necessary is it to load up this sandwich with 2180mg of sodium?

Why do they insist on ruining these sandwiches by putting mayo on them, it is completely unnecessary.

I can answer that for you: they do it because their market testing found that more people will like it *with* the mayo than without. Condiments often complement each other. Mayo is pretty neutral in flavor, it’s more just to add creaminess and fat, in contrast to the tart and peppery sauce.

Your issue is simply that you get upset when people like something you don’t, and so you try to crap on it by exclaiming “it’s ruined!”. I would suggest you put on your big boy pants and ask them to make it special for you with no mayo because you think it’s icky.
    Hope that helps.
