Rip’n Chicken Returns to Popeyes

Popeyes has brought back Rip’n Chicken (review) for a limited time only.  Rip’n Chicken was first introduced back in 2011 and features an all-white meat chicken breast cut into big strips, marinated in four different peppers and Louisiana seasonings, hand battered and breaded in Popeyes signature coating then fried up crispy. Priced at $5 and includes Cajun fries, buttermilk biscuit and dipping sauce.

This is very tasty but not a great deal! Chicken is small, rather have 2 pieces of rippin’ chicken to make it a great deal.

  2. Brad says:

All hail the return of the chicken hand.

  3. Ash says:

They need to bring the waffle tenders back

Marinated in 4 different peppers — Seems silly considering this is battered, fried in a heavily seasoned breading and dunked into sauce…. what’s the point of boasting about the subtlety and nuance of 4 distinct peppers in the marinade that you have no chance whatsoever of distinguishing any perceptible flavor from?
