How is a chocolate “flavored” chip different from a chocolate chip?

    • Bubbsy says:

It’s different in that it’s not a piece of actual chocolate, it’s a piece of unknown food-grade substance *flavored* with chocolate.
But there’s a reason they don’t use real chocolate chips in ice cream, and it’s not because of expense… it has to do with the nature of real chocolate — it won’t melt in your mouth if your mouth is cold.
