Little Caesars Promotes ExtraMostBestest Pizza

I’m not sure how comfortable I’ll be ordering the ExtraMostBestest Pizza from Little Caesars.  I feel a top 10 list of worst names for a fast food product is imminent.  Extra cheese and extra pepperoni (over 50 slices of them) = ExtraMostBestest:

Enjoy our HOT-N-READY pizza with the most pepperoni and cheese of any large round standard menu 1-topping pepperoni pizza sold by the top four major national pizza chains for ONLY $6 (+tax @ participating locations)!!!

$5 Pepperoni pizza is now $6?

    • Stevo says:

      “Extra cheese and extra pepperoni”

    • Robert says:

Are your reading comprehension skills really that bad?

Anyway LC has the best cheese *and* the best pepperoni in the chain pizza game, so I can’t wait to try this. But I will not be ordering it by this name.

      • xam says:

“LC has the best cheese *and* the best pepperoni in the chain pizza game”

I hope you were trolling when you said that.

        • Robert says:

Wanna tell me whose is better? I’d love to hear.

          • Stevo says:

Anyone. Little Caesar has almost no flavor to either.

          • xam says:

Yeah, pretty much anybody, if you don’t eat LC pizza within 20 minutes of getting it, it’s practically inedible. That’s if it’s fresh, if it’s been sitting for very long, it’s already inedible. That’s their regular pizza, the deep dish isn’t as bad for some reason.

      • Barnaby says:

No ggran doesn’t have bad comprehension. The only place in this article where “extra cheese” or “extra pepperoni” are mentioned is the blogger’s blurb. Nowhere in what is shown here from LC or their graphic does it say there is extra pepperoni or extra cheese. The promotional graphic and paragraph in this article actually coming from LC explicitly compare it to “large round standard menu 1-topping pepperoni pizza”, claiming to have the most cheese and pepperoni of that comparison. Why would they compare a pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni to standard pizzas that are not ordered with extra cheese and pepperoni? That would be like BK bragging that their double cheeseburger has twice as much beef as a standard McDos cheeseburger. Any reasonable person would believe they are comparing the amount of cheese and pepperoni on their large standard pepperoni pizza to everyone else’s.

        • Robert says:

Barnaby, it says right in the store. 25% more cheese, 80% more pepperoni. And the graphic above LITERALLY says “comparison made between ExtraMostBestest and…” What the heck is the confusion?

          • Barnaby says:

Nobody said anything about what it says in the store. I know they say they’re calling their pizza ‘extramostbestest’ based on the comparison to “other standard regular pizzas”, the implication being that they’re, well, comparing it to to other… standard…. regular…. nevermind. It’s OK that you have no response to what I actually said.

  2. Esther says:

I won’t be able to bring myself to try this solely because of the name. I’m sure it’s a good pizza, but that is an abomination of a name.

    • Patrick Bateman says:

Just call it the extra pizza. They’ll know what you’re talking about.

    • CulinaryZerg says:

I want to try it because of the name. I’m childish. Not even sure I want to eat all that grease but my family will chuckle when I bring home the pizza.

  3. Robert says:

I got a flier in the mail today for this and the whole pizza has 360 calories more than a standard pepperoni. But there’s no telling how much of that is more pepperoni vs more cheese. I’m betting it’s not that much more cheese, mostly because the other chains have always been skimpy with the cheese.

    • Robert says:

Just picked one up. Sign in the store says 80% more pepperoni, 25% more cheese, which is about what I expected. But the one they gave me seems like the reverse. Score!

  4. Jonathan Wayne says:

Sounds like a certain orange idiot world “leader” came up with this name.

    • Johnnyboy says:

Hey, that’s MY President. Stop talking about him. Dems are hateful people.

      • Jonathan Wayne says:

        @Johnnyboy,

I can talk about whoever I want you little Nazi, this country is still a free country even though YOUR president would like to change it into a dictatorship under his rule. I never mentioned any names, you guys chose to do so and make it political. I merely mentioned that the name of this pizza sounded like it was created by him which it does, he talks exactly like this, like a 5 year old. The fact that you guys immediately thought it was him without me mentioning his name only proves that what I said is true.

        • Johnnyboy says:

Well True Red Blooded Americans voted for him. I am not even a US born citizen, and I even voted for him. Even legal Mexicans and Cubans did too. I guess you hated Bush and Reagan too. The last decent and real president was John F. Kennedy, the only democrat I would vote for. Liberalism is a mental disorder. I wonder why he won in a landslide? Anyways, Orange is the new President. All foods that are orange taste great…Orange Juice, Cheetos, Cheddar Cheese, Orange Sherbet, Orange Creamsicles, etc. I guess you should stay away from all orange foods, otherwise that would mean you will be tasting Trump’s essence. USA! USA! USA!

    • MP says:

Who’s the idiot? The guy who’s beating you at every single measure of success in the world and can effortlessly afford any possible lifestyle, opportunity, and enjoyment you can dream about? LOL, yeah OK, he’s the idiot, and you’re the one whining about him anonymously on a fast food blog? Have another cheeseburger buddy and make your father proud!

      • Robert says:

You seriously measure intelligence based on *money*? Good god this country is doomed.

        • MP says:

No, but I reject the notion that any self-made person who became that successful, influential, and powerful would be an “idiot”. What is the “intelligence” you speak of: pure academics, or real-world intelligence? He provides every opportunity imaginable for his family and those he cares about while maintaining a lifestyle doing exactly what he wants at all times. It’s not about money per-se, it’s about being smart enough to navigate the game of life and win.

          • Timmons says:

Self-made person? Boy, Trump has indeed marketed himself well to a certain segment of our society. I really don’t even know what to say to that, just astonishing.

      • mike says:

“Who’s the idiot? The guy who’s beating you at every single measure of success in the world and can effortlessly afford any possible lifestyle, opportunity, and enjoyment you can dream about?”

Yeah, that guy is the idiot, I don’t normally dream about being under investigation by several intelligence agencies for colluding with an enemy of our nation. He’s very likely treasonous, but he has a lot of money, so that makes it ok, that’s seriously what you just said. I’ll take my modest, but honest life over his any day of the week.

      • Jonathan Wayne says:

        @MP,

LOL, bragging about another man’s money still won’t make you rich or won’t change the fact you live in a trailer park and drive a 20 year old pickup truck. I should hope someone that inherited a business and hundreds of millions of dollars from his daddy would end up rich although with multiple bankruptcies and failed businesses and hundreds of millions to billions in loans from Russia and China, who knows what he’s really worth? The fact that he won’t release his tax returns pretty much tells you all you need to know about his true financial status. His son in law is up to his eyeballs in debt too and running over to China begging Chinese to invest with him in return for residency and citizenship in America.

        • MP says:

You’re probably right, his family is desperately on the verge of ruin, a step away from driving a 20 yr old pickup to a home in the trailer park. Your financial acumen is impressive, and your understanding of the use of leverage in the real estate game surely supports your prophecy. Wait a minute, there have been bankruptcies AND loans?? Haha…

    • CC says:

Do you really need to inject your little political opinion into comments about pizza? Seriously?

    • M.A.G.A. says:

      Typical comment from a worthless, hate-filled basement-boy.

      • Jonathan Wayne says:

        @M.A.G.A.

How do you have time to comment on here, don’t you have to be out there competing with illegal immigrants for sub-minimum wage jobs? LOL

        • M.A.G.A. says:

Nah, I spend my spare time at the range. I’d advise you to start doing the same, if you’ve ever been proud of doing something well in your entire life.

      • Johnnyboy says:

Jonathan Wayne is upset his buddy Jared went to the slammer, he can’t go to Subway now, because he doesn’t have a car and his mom won’t let him walk by himself cause he’s obese and might have a heart attack walking. Go back to your Magic gathering in your mom’s basement and drink some more Mountain Dew while you are at it and get back to you World of Warcraft guild. I am sorry the president would like for you to be working and not living in your mom’s basement and getting insured on her Obamacare policy.

    • whatever_man says:

Never commented anything before, but came here to say this: on top of the misogyny and rampant racism, your president is a rapist and criminal who should be in prison.

      • MP says:

I love the people who heard his comment from 20 yrs ago boasting about how women/groupies *let him* have his way with them (you can grab them by the XXX), and that is somehow bragging about assault lol. It’s really just a commentary on weak women who throw themselves at powerful men and allow themselves to be consumed (like a pizza) because of what they want in return. Oh the poor victims.

      • Johnnyboy says:

Liberalism is a mental disorder, did you hear that from your friends? Or Facebook or on Buzzfeed? LOL!

    • Sandy says:

This is a food blog, you moron! Take your political crap somewhere else. Seriously, go join Griffin’s fan club, perhaps you’ll make some new friends .

    • doctorx0079 says:

  5. Ted Smith says:

My Local Little Caesars charges $5.55 instead of $5 for the regular Hot n Ready pizzas, so it will be interesting to see what they do with this one. To get a lot more Pep and Cheese for only .45 more sounds like an absolute steal.

  6. Doug says:

Holy hell, are they getting their product naming from 4Chan now?

  7. Justin says:

Had one yesterday. Really generous with the cheese and pepperoni and an absolute steal for 6 bucks.

  8. Darryl Watkins says:

Might try this, first must gather the courage to wade through the line of homeless and stinky.

  9. Ted Smith says:

I ate one of these for dinner tonight, and really nothing special. Just a little more cheese than normal, and a good amount more pepperoni. But their pepperoni is relatively mild flavored to me, so it doesn’t really provide too much benefit to have more on there.

I know Little Caesars has been itching to increase the pricing on standard Hot n Ready pizzas for a while now, and this appears to be the first attempt to test the market. I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ll stick to the Deep Dish, especially for only a couple bucks more.

    • Doug says:

In some areas it’s $7. I wonder if adding 25% more cheese & 80% more pepperoni for $1-$2 per pizza will give LC more profit? Could be.

  10. Johnnyboy says:

Had this tonight, pretty good. Worth the $6! They should cancel their $5 pizza with this!

  11. Karen says:

Does “at participating locations” mean the EMB pizza -or- the $6 price? I just had one tonite and for the pizza plus a 2 lt pop it was $12.49 with the tax. Plus it must have been under the heat lamps for ages so was a major let down.

    • stilletkniv says:

While the $6 price is not available at all locations, there aren’t any LCs that charge $12+ for this pizza and a 2L. You must have been overcharged by mistake.

  12. Chris says:

I hope this is not a heads up that they will soon be axeing the $5 pizzas. Papa murphys already did it here where I live. $5 faves are now $7 🙁

  13. John says:

Damn this comment thread went down hill fast…

    • Bubbsy says:

Seriously, whenever ‘Jonathon Wayne’ pops up on the board it’s generally to whine some angry childish throwaway comment. Some curmudgeons are at least amusing or witty, this one just seems to have a perpetually miserable life and keeps taking it out on a fast food blog for some reason. Even pizza makes him upset lol. #extramostwhiniest

      • Johnnyboy says:

Ha ha too funny. I will research some more of tHat loser Jonathan Wayne’s postings. Anyways I had this pizza again 3 days ago, it was better than the last time. I think the cheese and pizza ratio is awesome.

    • Big Brutus says:

Or it was awesome. If there was a Little Ceasars within 15 mins of me I’d try it. 20 is pushing it…fast food needs to be consumed immediately or it’s terrible.

      • xam says:

Most fast food is a burger or burrito or something. Pizza is different, at least in my household, there are always leftovers, and I actually love day old cold pizza…except for LC. Even fresh, it’s at best just edible. It’s disappointing because it didn’t use to be that way, they used to have quality pizza, and it being 5 or six dollars isn’t really a good excuse for poor quality. That’s their regular pizza, the deep dish is better quality.

        • Big Brutus says:

I’d agree with your post. I haven’t had Little Caesers in years but it’s talked about as if it’s the worst non-frozen pizza you can buy. So I mentally put a divide between LC and Pizza Hut/Papa John’s/local places etc.

  14. Kathy wise says:

We just got home with ours from salina ks….heading back ..looks like it spent an extra 10 minutes in the oven..and didn’t notice any extra cheese…
