New Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Burger King

While the Big King and Rodeo Chicken Sandwich are still getting some run at Burger King, there’s still room for more.  Introducing a “spicy new twist” on the Original Chicken Sandwich called simply the new Spicy Chicken Sandwich (not to be confused with the Spicy Chick’n Crisp).  The new Spicy Chicken Sandwich is made with white-meat chicken breaded with a mix of cayenne and black pepper and topped with lettuce and mayonnaise on a toasted sesame seed bun.  I found this promo priced at 2 for $5.  Available for a limited time.  640 calories, 38 grams of fat, 1310 milligrams of sodium, 23 grams of protein

I remember when BK had a spicy chicken sandwich where the spiciness came from the sauce, it was pretty good and of course they did away with it.

Nothing at Burger King ever wants me to stop and get something.

I remember the spicy chicken crisp, which was the crispy chicken (cheap chicken patty) with buffalo sauce slathered all over it for 99 cents, … I’d try this new sandwich at 2 fer 5 bones. The sauce was overwhelming on that other one, but if on this new sandwich they just kicked up the seasoning on the breading of the Original Chicken long sandwich with plenty of mayo… I’ll try it and report back here!

Went to BK for dinner tonight, asked if it was part of the 2 for $5, got told no. :( Not paying full price for one of these. I’ll try a coupon next and see if they’ll accept one for the regular chicken sandwich for the spicy.

Just went out and tried this myself, got to say it’s better than the original but still nothing to write home about. Spice felt really weak. Skip it unless you can get 2 for $5
