Discussion: What’s Your Favorite Salty-Sweet Snack Combination
Whenever I’m in a grocery store, I do a lot of slow shuffling. Some might want to get in and out as fast as possible, but I’m the one staring at the 26 different kinds of ketchup. On a recent stroll through my neighborhood Weis market, I stumbled upon Utz Mini Pretzels coated with Butterfinger.
The combination of pretzel with most everything seems to be an obvious no-brainer in the snack world, but for some reason I was still shocked and pleased to see Butterfinger coated pretzels. It got me thinking of other salty sweet combinations I might be missing. Discussion time! What’s your favorite salty-sweet snack combination? Also who’s with me on this one… Butterfinger candy bars alone are not that good. Mix up a Butterfinger in a milkshake and I’m there, but a Butterfinger alone is a definite pass.

My favorite salty sweet used to be chex mix honey nut crunch…they used to have those little honey nut clusters on them…and then they changed it and ruined it.
1. Chubby Hubby Ben and Jerry’s
2. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
3. 5th Avenue > Butterfinger; Unfortunately, both of them now use fake chocolate.
Dollar General Peanut Butter Pretzel Nuggets
Take 5 Candy Bars are pretty awesome….Or just good ol’ chocolate covered pretzels.
Love Take 5
Oh yea, Take Five bars are awesome! Love chocolate covered pretzels as well. Easily my favorites. Those and anything with salted caramel and dark chocolate.
Oh, can’t forget Candy Corn + Peanuts = YuMmY (i don’t care what you candy corn haters may say).
Right now I’m munching on Planter’s Honey Roasted Cashews (Deluxe!). I still miss their dry roasted cashews, but these are awesome!
Chocolate covered pretzels FTW
Trail mix made up of pretzels, raisins, M&Ms, goldfish, peanuts and maybe Dots. Make sure you get one from the salty category and one from the sweet category in your bite : )
I like putting Popcorn and plain M&Ms together they are a great combination, and I could care less for anything with Butterfingers so I wont be trying the pretzels in the picture above.
Kettle corn and anything salted caramel
At Christmas time every year, Snyders pretzel comes out with pretzels that are combined with a York peppermint patty. Those are my favorite, unfortunately you can only get them for about 2 months a year.
chocolate covered pretzels
The old Wendys fries dipped in their chocolate frosty. *drools while reminiscing*
Pretzel M&M’s
Ashers milk chocolate smothered potato chips. I find them at Cracker Barrel.
Pretzel m and ms or rold gold chocolate pretzels
M&M’s on top of potato chips + Cheeze Its combined with the wafer part of the Oreo. Sounds kind of off, but trust me it’s so good!
