Food News: New! Angus Deli Sub from Arby’s

We here at GrubGrade are big fans of the new Arby’s direction when it comes to roast beef, so we’re excited to hear that the second sandwich featuring Arby’s new Angus Roast Beef has been released. Get a load of the Angus Cool Deli Sandwich:

Introducing our NEW Angus Cool Deli! A deli-style sandwich & wrap with lean Angus beef served cool with crisp lettuce & tomato, & popping with banana peppers & pickles. It comes dressed in a delicious sub vinaigrette & mayo.
There’s more on the Arby’s blog about the inspiration behind this sandwich, which comes in at 640 calories, 35 grams of fat, and 8 grams of saturated fat and also comes with Swiss cheese. If you’re health conscious you can opt out of the mayo to make it under 500 calories, or opt for it in a whole grain wrap.

Love it, with one caveat: if they’re gradually phasing out the original non-angus roast beef, I’ll be disappointed. I know it’s still well-represented with a majority of their menu items, but who knows what they’re planning to do.

I’d get over it. Unless prices went up all around the board to match. Introducing an option to upgrade would be pretty badass, though.

Just tried this sammy with a BOGO coupon.

This cool deli angus sandwich is very good; taste just like a deli sandwich should. The roast beef is delicious, like the roast beeff rom the grocery or deli. The toppings go well with the sandwich and typical deli style. The bread is ciabatta style and also fits well.

This sandwich taste similar to Subway in the way it’s prepared, but the angus is miles ahead in taste and, so, the roast beef sandwich is also miles ahead. Both angus sandwiches from Arby’s are very good and Arby’s is doing a good job at it’s new offerings. The negative is that the sandwich is still kinda small and slightly expensive at almost $5 per sandwich.

    Thumbs up.
