New Burger King Chicken Tenders Take The Place Of Crown-Shaped Tenders
Thanks to GrubGrade reader Justin for submitting the picture and info. The Burger King Crown-Shaped Chicken Tenders (read my review) are no more. They have been replaced by this:
They are called, simply, Chicken Tenders. Described by Justin as “slightly thicker and softer like a Wendy’s nugget” (as compared to the old, dry Crown-Shaped Tenders). Another shameless plug, read my Wendy’s Nuggets review. So on to a little bit of research, I stumble upon some details over at the BK website (and make sure to visit Burger Business for some extra details too).
Described by Burger King like this:
Four pieces, eight pieces, twenty pieces. But don’t let that limit you. If you want 24 of the new, crispy Chicken Tenders, just order a twenty and a four. Thirty-two? Order a twenty, a four and an eight. What’s that you ask? You want an odd number of Chicken Tenders? Easy. Order any amount, take one, dip it in some BBQ, Honey Mustard, Ranch, or Sweet & Sour sauce, eat it and presto. An odd remainder. (Frankly, most of the mathematical variety here will depend on you eating a few. Mmm. Crispy, delicious mathematical variety.)
According to BK, 4-pieces will clock in at 190 calories and 11 grams of fat. So anyways, thoughts… opinions? Have you tried the new BK Chicken Tenders? Did you ever sample the Crown-Shaped?
