Have You Seen The Arby’s Fish Commercial?
Way back when GrubGrade first got started, we did a bunch of “Fish Friday” reviews to coincide with the season of Lent. Our “Fish Friday Review Wrap-Up” summed up our 6 reviews and ranked them from worst to first. The Arby’s Fish Sandwich came out on top with a 8.75/10 GrubGrade score. Almost 2 years later, GrubGrade is getting some love in an Arby’s ad. It’s nice to see that an opinion on a blog means something to someone. At that point in the history of the site, we were less than 2 months old. So there’s a print ad circulating that may look like something similar to what you see below. I’m now getting emails that there’s a TV commercial giving GrubGrade a shout. Has anyone come across this commercial?

I saw the ad tonight during the simpsons between 6-7pm here in Denver they played it twice. nicely done gentlemen!

Yay GrubGrade! I haven’t seen that commercial, and I haven’t tried the Arby’s fish sandwich yet. I’ve tried everyone elses, and the only one that is tasty is McDonald’s Fillet-o-Fish sandwich.
Nah, the commercial is news to me. That has got to be an incredible feeling. To hear something that you created is being mentioned by a national company out of all the blogs in existence. CONGRATULATIONS, Ryan!

Saw big posters on the windows at an local Arby’s (Jacksonville, FL) advertising the Fish Sandwich… pretty much the same image as above but covering the whole window. I’ll try to take a picture next time I go by there.

Same here in Tampa. I think the http://www.grubgrade.com website is actually on these posters on their windows, also. I couldn’t get close enough to the posters to see what’s on them, but I plan on stopping by tomorrow morning/afternoon and taking a picture also.

I saw the Arby’s commercial last night during WWE’s Monday Night RAW. I’ve been a long-time GG reader, so it was awesome to see you getting some love from Arby’s.
Congrats. I’ll see if my Arby’s carries it, and if so, I’ll pick up a fish sandwich next time I’m there.

This is probably old news, but I stopped outside the drive thru and the front of the restaurant, and both places had your website on their posters. I took pictures, but they are of poor quality, and you can barely see the website name. But, it’s on there!!!
P.S. Although I couldn’t see the people inside, I’m sure they were a little freaked out that I was taking pictures in front of their building and getting outside my truck, to try to take a better picture, in their drive thru!
Haha… that’s dedication. If I had a nickel for every time I was given a weird look for taking pictures of food or restaurants or signs… I’d have like, well… a whole lot of nickels.
Saw ad in Virginia Beach, Va. on ABC, Channel 13. Went to Arbys, had sandwiches on sale for 2 for $4.00. Got 2 and they were great. By the way, got your website from ad on tv. Never knew you existed until I saw the ad. Keep up the good work.

The commercial is the reason I looked you up. I thought that “grubgrade” was made up to give their fish sandwich some sort of artifical validation.
I’ve seen the commercial in the Denver area (and it does mention the grubgrade rating). The reason I was looking it up online, though, was to complain about how flippin’ stupid the voice actor’s accent is! I don’t know if he’s trying to sound Italian or like a pirate or what, but it’s completely lame. Having said that, I do think I”ll try the sandwich!
