Food News: Starbucks New Caramel Brulee Latte

Starbucks has added a new drink for the Holiday season.  The Caramel Brulee Latte joins the seasonal menu standard Gingerbread Latte and the return of Peppermint Mocha.  The Caramel Brulee Latte is a blend of Starbucks espresso, steamed milk, caramel sauce and topped with whipped cream and caramel candy pieces.  Might be a nice warm treat to help you fight the crowds of shoppers this weekend.

  1. I tried this last week and although it was tasty it was super super sweet. I wont be having this again.

My wife tried it last week, and said that she really liked it. I don’t drink coffee that often, and prefer it more as a treat than the necessity it has become for so many others. I wake out of bed like a Super Nova anyway. Anyhow, if this is as super sweet as the Frozen Food Master says, I may enjoy it sometime as a dessert drink. I’ll have to try it. Although, I prefer just a normal ol’ strong cup of Joe when I partake in the bean.

You know, if it’s too sweet, you can always get less pumps of the caramel brulee sauce…it IS really sweet.
And I always laugh when people are on the phone with their friends saying “I’m just getting my coffee at Starbucks,” when they’re getting one of these, or other loaded latte dessert thing. Aw, that’s not coffee, that’s a dessert, don’t kid yourself.

i love this latte – as a treat, not as coffee, obviously. but i usually solve the sweetness issue with skim milk and an extra shot – but i still love it, their caramel flavor is fantastic.

I love the carmel brulee latte
It’s definitely better with an extra shot :)

How is this better than a caramel latte? Meaning, is this worth not getting an eggnog or pumpkin spice latte, since there are so few days, comparatively speaking, that one can get the best two things ever on their drink menu?

That sounds snarky, but I’m honestly curious.
