Food News: Burger King Double Cheeseburger Is Now Just $1.00
The day has come…The Double Cheeseburger from Burger King is now a value menu item for just $1.00. I reported late last month that October 19th was the day so time to gather up your pennies. The BK Double Cheeseburger is a hefty quarter pound of beef and it’s just a buck? Are you kidding me? I bought one last month for $3.19! I’m liking the burger wars.
Great deal. They’ve been a buck here in my neck of the woods for quite a while now, glad to see it’s going nationwide now! While there is something special about a McD’s double that I can’t put my finger on, the BK double is definitely a solid burger. It’s got the flame-broiled goodness going on, too. I may have to hit them up this weekend. They’re advertising the double cheese value meal for $3.29 here.
1I easily prefer the BK double cheeseburger over the McDonalds one, so this is a good day. I usually eat out on Friday nights, so I’ll probably pick up a couple of these this week.
2You know how Burger King has the “has it your way” can you get tomatoes added to this thing? anyone know
3@mike: I’m pretty sure they charge extra for bacon or extra cheese on sandwiches, but the rest of the condiments are free. I won’t guarantee that, but I’ve never paid extra when ordering veggies or condiments.

6At my closest BK, it hasn’t been $1, but at others near by, it has. I’m just glad to see that it will finally be $1 at the one near me. BK may have actually gotten my business back with this one. Not that I was boycotting or anything of the sort, but I just feel that they have gone way down hill over the past decade and a half. These double cheeseburgers are good though, but I couldn’t bring myself to pay anymore than a $1 for them, when other places offered the same thing for that price.

I hate the Wendys DBL Cheeseburger. Starts to cake to the inside of your mouth like sand. And the cheese tastes like wallpaper. Why did I bring that up? No reason…..just saying.
Anyway, I think they are both great. I really think McDs’ is better, but BK has such a different taste profile with great cheesiness/mustard flavor that it is great as well. Oh, and best time to get a McD DBL Cheeseburger? At 10:30AM, right at breakfast/lunch changeover. Because u get the flat-top grease flavor. MMMM

haha im stil yet to try this juicy burger but for tje 1 dollar value menu i’d hit up my local burger joint. Get a 1 dollar burger with the taste of steak on it because of the flat-top grease flavor.
