Food News: Chipotle Ordering App
Chipotle is pretty popular around here. There is always a line, and I hate waiting in line when I’m hungry. Now if you have an iPhone or iPod touch you don’t have to. Chipotle has created an app where you can order you food and also pay for it all from your mobile device. This is actually a relaunch of the application that came out in January but was plagued by glitches. Everything is running smooth now.

You can enter the address of you favorite Chipotle or the app will find the location that is closest by.

Would you like a chicken burrito, veggie bowl or steak tacos? The app gives you the same ordering options as you would have if you were in Chipotle.

Customize your burrito with all the usual Chipotle options.

Add any side items here. Would you like extra cheese or just a little sour cream, list that on the special instructions page. You can also save your order for future visits.

Finalize your order and pay all from the convenience of your iPhone or iPod Touch. More and more of restaurants are developing these types of ordering apps and it looks to be the future of the take-out/delivery business. The simplicity of the app makes is great, and the fact that it will keep you from waiting in line is also a big plus. So if you have one of the Apple devices and are a Chipotle fan, I suggest you give this free download a try. Just search “Chipotle Ordering” or “Chipotle Mexican Grill” from the iTunes store.

So…when you walk in your order is ready, paid for and you can grab it?
Works for me. If I owned one of those obnoxious phones LOL
Sort of a cool idea, but seems kinda like overkill to me. In the future, no one is actually going to talk to anyone and all restaurants and businesses are going to be staffed by robots. Dreary and boring if you ask me. Actually, that kind of reminds me of those “In the year 2000…” skits that used to be on Conan O’Brien’s show.
Sounds awesome to me. Much better than standing in line because even though Chipotle is pretty efficient in preparing orders it still saves at least 5-10 minutes.
oh wow, that’s actually really cool
I’d prefer robots to serve my food. They’re more likely to get it right and give you refills when you ask. That and if they expect a tip, they’d more then likely deserve it since they didn’t spend 10 minutes talking ot the other robots in the corner talking about how much their pay sucks
That sounds sweet, now if Android would come out with the app so i can use it on my G1 that’d be swell!!
