Honestly, why are you people talking 'bout chick-fil-a? You've obviously never had a gold rush if you even think about that swill when someone says gold rush. a couple pickles and a greasy piece of fried chicken on a bun is somehow amazing? Must have missed that part.

Amen. The horrific reality is that Hardee's bought most of the franchise up and shut them down or rebranded them as Hardee's. They are now independently owned and very hard to find - but I will occasionally make the 30-minute drive to Virginia to get a Gold Rush - they are that good, and the only thing that tops the Arby's Chicken Bacon Swiss in the realm of chicken sandwiches.

It looks and sounds so tasty, but when you mentioned anchovies... you really put the halt on my hunger. I'm still intrigued however...

Do not be fooled. This sandwich is the best fast food item anywhere on the planet. The 'bland' bun is just that bland. Without the blandness of the bread, you wouldnt be able to taste the rest of the oddball mix of fried chicken, crispy bacon, monterrey jack cheese, and the Boss of all Sauces. I only wish i had the recipe to this sauce as is is most definitely Ambrosia sent from somewhere other than this universe.
To people saying its too much sandwich for their liking, please please go out and find a roys before saying that. Not only will you become addicted to this marvel, you will salivate at just the thought of having one. I am fortunate to have a Roys within a hours drive, and Ordering #5 with double sandwiches just makes it worth the drive alone. A side order of the biscuit along with a baked potato instead of fries hits that certain spot in your crave filled day.
