Browsing through my GrubGrade Picture Collection…
Why do I torture myself by making it an almost nightly routine to browse through my GrubGrade picture collection? All it does is entice me to start grubbing at midnight. Currently craving some zPizza. Specifically the ZBQ Pizza. BBQ sauce, mozzerrella, BBQ chicken, roasted peppers, red onions, tomatoes, fresh cilantro and sweet corn. Not quite as simple and delicious as the BBQ Chicken Pizza from Il Forno Pizzeria, but still a very solid choice that I can’t stop staring at.

Ryan…looks yummy. If you could make your own creation for my menu what kind of pie would you invent?
Good question…so many choices…
Creation #1
Multigrain crust
Pizza sauce
Pepperoni
Sausage
Black olives
Green and red bell peppers
Creation #2
Classic crust
BBQ sauce
Grilled Chicken
Bacon
Pineapple
A little red onion
Creation #3
Classic crust
Pizza sauce with a hint of hot sauce
Spicy Chicken
Bacon
Red Bell Peppers
Extra Cheese
That pizza looks perfect. Alas, the closest zpizza to me is a 3 hour drive, which is not going to happen. Also, creations 2 and 3 from Ryan’s post have my mouth watering. I think I’ll put together a #2 after I pick up some pineapple and chicken at the grocery story
Hmmm….let’s see.
#1 The Kinda Boring
#2 The BBQ Bacon Luau
#3 The Phoenix
I can be kind of a pizza bigot at times, so please excuse me if I am ever out of line on the issue of great pie.
Like I mentioned on the MySpace pic, that pizza looks more like a salad on a bread plate, than a pizza pie. I’m sure it’s good though. I can’t imagine how it wouldn’t be.
The thing is, I have always found that the best pizza is a pizza with a minimal approach. Too many toppings can completely ruin an otherwise decent pie. I have never been able to enjoy a pizza with BBQ sauce on it either. Don’t know why, as I am a BBQing maniac.
I like the sound of #3. I make pizza myself at home a lot of times,as well as my own sauce. I have made a sauce that I incorporated Texas Pete into, and it came out extremely well. It still had a great pizza sauce flavor, but with just the right amount of kick and pizazz.
@ Raiders757 … I agree with you about a minimal approach. This ZBQ is pretty delicious but isn’t my idea of a perfect BBQ Chicken Pizza. Check out my review of the BBQ Chicken Pizza from Il Forno in the link within the post for what I consider to be the best BBQ Chicken Pizza I’ve had and it’s as minimal as they come. Haha…yeah I agree also that it looks more like a salad on a bread plate…I assure you, there is a pizza under there.
